Another cloudburst occurred in Uttarakhand in Devprayag of Tehri district on Tuesday, the third cloudburst in seven days in the state. “No casualties have been reported yet. SDRF teams are on their way to the spot,” said DGP Ashok Kumar to ANI. Several shops and other properties were found to have been damaged.

The cloudburst was reported at 5 pm on Tuesday, and around 12 to 13 shops along with other properties were damaged. Most of the shops were closed due to lockdown, and no casualties have been reported. The water level is on the rise and a rescue operation is underway, reported ANI.

Binsar hill area of Chamoli district saw a cloudburst on May 4 and damaged several shops and market areas, which were buried under the debris.

On May 8, the Tehri district witnessed three different places being damaged due to a cloudburst. The Pipola village in Jakhindhar block reported damages in crops, roads and other properties.
