Virat Singh, a 23-year-old batsman made his IPL debut for the Sunrisers Hyderabad versus Mumbai Indians on Saturday. Singh was bought by the Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL 2020 auction for Rs 1.9 crores, which was nearly ten times his base price. His addition to the team is Warner’s attempt to counter the middle-order woes. He can bat at the top of the order and also finish games in the shortest format of the game, the IPL website says.
