What are different skin types?

According to Dr Jaishree Sharad, there are majorly seven skin types. These go as following:

1- Normal skin

2- Oily skin

3- Dry skin-

4- Combination skin

5- Sensitive skin

6- Acne-prone skin

7- Pigment skin

How to understand your skin type- the method

Dr Sharad suggests an easy method to identify your actual skin type. You have to perform this method right after waking up in the morning.

Step 1- Wash your face in the morning and wait for an hour

Step 2– Take a tissue paper and dab it around the entire face

Here’s how to identify the type of your skin

If the tissue paper is smooth, you have normal skin

If the tissue is patchy, the skin type is oily.

If there is a T-zone patch, it is combination skin.

If your skin feels very dry, then it is dry skin.

If your skin breaks out into rash very easily, you have sensitive skin. However, when you apply skin products and you get acne, that means you have acne-prone skin.

And most importantly, if you get injured and get pigmentation, you have got pigment skin type.
