Roxy Jacenko’s statement made headlines when she revealed her 10-year-old daughter could retire by the age of 15. The 42-year-old businessperson revealed that the running joke in their family was that Pixie would retire at 15 as a multimillionaire, while she’d have to work till she was 100. “I certainly know who’s smarter”, the Australian quipped.

The public relations powerhouse mother added that she tipped her hat to Pixie, who had certainly experienced quite a lot in 10 years, and managed to remain grounded, caring and polite. Jacenko said Pixie has dreams of a beach house and a Lamborghini SUV, so she has her work cut out for her, but the little entrepreneur is on her way to reaching the goals. The mother added how it was valuable to teach Pixie to invest well, without squandering her money.

Instagram princess

Before Pixie started her business, her mother helped her start becoming popular. She amassed a steady Instagram following and made headlines in 2014, being dubbed ‘Princess of Instagram’.

Her mother started her account shortly after her birth, showcasing Pixie’s lifestyle and fashion with catchy captions. While Jacenko admits there was no strategic plan behind setting up a bank account for her daughter, she did plan to raise the girl to be business savvy.

The idea was to start an account a week after Pixie’s birth and put her earnings in the same, so she’d have a good start when she got older. The enterprising mother added, “I’m going to teach her to be smart with her money, as my parents did with me, work hard, earn it but don’t blow it on materialistic things until you have property.”

Pixie’s Bows at 2

Seeing the success of Pixie’s Instagram account, her mother decided to launch Pixie’s Bows, in 2014, as a hair accessories line.

Using Pixie’s Instagram account to promote the business, the bows quickly became a favoured accessory in playgroups and schools all over the country.

Since then, the bows have garnered international fame, with celebrities opting for Pixie’s Bows as the ‘it accessory’. Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes’ daughter, Suri, Ye (Kanye West) and Kim Kardashian’s child North West, and Khloe Kardashian’s daughter True, have all been pictured in these bows.

Pixie’s Bows can now be seen at Myer too and has given rise to an adult hair and jewellery accessory business called Roxy Jacenko Accessories.

Pixie’s Fidgets blows up the scene

The young entrepreneur’s second business venture, Pixie’s Fidgets, was all the more successful, making nearly $200,000 in the first month itself.

These bubble-popping multi-coloured toys sold out within the first 48 hours of launch.

The mini mogul of Australia

Currently, all of Pixie’s products are housed under the parent company Pixie’s Pixs and includes a host of toys, games, and other children’s goodies. The business has made the smart move of capitalizing on e-commerce and moving online.

However, there are various physical outlets too, across Australia.

Currently, Pixie’s net worth is estimated to be around $13 million, and some retail experts believe that the money off Pixie’s Bows itself could make her worth $21 million by the time she turns 18.
