Teachers’ Day is celebrated every year on September 5, to
honour teachers and recognise their contributions to education and development.
Teachers’ Day was first celebrated in 1962, the year when Dr. Radhakrishnan
became the second President of India. He served as the First Vice-President of
the country.

The aim is to value and acknowledge the contribution of all
the teachers in shaping one’s life.

Dr. Radhakrishnan was the first Indian to hold a
professional chair at the University of Oxford.

In 1954, he was awarded the Bharat Ratna, the highest
civilian honour in India. Dr. Radhakrishnan was awarded honorary membership of
the British Royal Order of Merit in 1963.

Here are some of the Teacher’s Day wishes, images, and
quotes that you can send your beloved teachers:

Dear Teacher, thank you for inspiring and motivating us,
thank you for igniting our imagination, and above all thank you for directing
our potential on the right path. Happy Teacher’s Day to you!

Dear Teacher, you are our friend, philosopher, and guide who
moulded us into what we are today. Happy Teacher’s Day to you!
