A 27-year-old woman married a man 24 years -older than her and the most unusual part of this story is that she married her ex-boyfriend’s dad.
Sydney Dean, 27, of Ohio, is married to Paul who is 51.
The pair met when Sydney was in sixth grade, aged 11, and she was visiting her then-boyfriend, Paul’s son.

Although their childhood romance ended, Sydney remained good friends with Paul’s son throughout their adolescence. She would frequently pay them visits after school and on weekends.
Sydney explained that when Paul’s son found a new girlfriend, she felt like a third wheel and regularly spoke with Paul.
She began dating Paul when she reached the legal age of consent in Ohio, which is 16 years old.

According to Mirror, she said- “I never expected to fall in love with Paul and we met in a non-traditional way, but I’m so happy I did.”
“My mum already knew who Paul was and from the few times they have talked, they got along just fine. But when I first told my mum that we were together, she was not happy. The age gap really got to her and it stayed that way for about a year – eventually, she came around,” she stated.
The couple married in 2016 after trying and failing to persuade family and friends that they were meant for each other.

She continued “We would go to her house almost every weekend just to hang out or have a BBQ. Now that we live pretty close to each other, she comes over all the time. She’s 100% supportive of us and absolutely loves Paul. In fact, they probably chat more than me and she does.”
Sydney’s father was not appreciative of the relationship because of the age difference, but he now adores his son-in-law.
As Sydney already knew Paul’s son, he took the relationship the “hardest.” “He didn’t agree with the relationship for a couple of years, but now that we’re married, he supports us being together,” Sydney explained.

She stated that she had lost friends because of her relationship with Paul.
“I wish people would understand that couples with an age difference can truly love and care for one another,” she added. There are many misconceptions about age gap relationships, but that doesn’t mean couples can’t be in it for the right reasons.”
In the end, a happy Sydney said – “He is the best husband I could have asked for, and he treats me so great.”
