American actress Amber Heard’s account has vanished a few days after Elon Musk bought Twitter. This comes on the heels of several celebrities deleting their accounts following Musk’s takeover of the social media platform. The Tesla CEO’s $44 billion acquisition of the platform closed last week, and since then, he has instituted significant changes, including dissolving its board of directors, firing top executives, bringing in Tesla employees, and announcing a $8 fee for verification, or getting a blue tick in front of your handle’s name.

Several fans noticed that Heard’s official Twitter account had been deactivated on November 1. Although the reason for her departure from the social media giant, as well as the exact time she left, is unknown. She is the most recent celebrity to leave the platform in the last week. According to NBC News, Toni Braxton, actress Shonda Rhimes, and retired professional wrestler Mick Foley are among the others.

Amber Heard dated Elon Musk between 2016 and 2018, following her divorce from actor Johnny Depp. She lost a defamation case against the Pirates of the Caribbean actor earlier this year and was ordered by the court to pay him $10.35 million. At the trial, Musk was supposed to testify, but he chose not to do so, either in person or virtually.

Many Twitter users have questioned whether her previous relationship with the billionaire is connected to his takeover of the social media site due to the rumours surrounding it. However, in May 2016, Musk revealed to People magazine his romance with Heard. The following August, the couple broke up. Heard described her relationship with the Tesla founder as “beautiful” in an interview with the Hollywood Reporter in 2018.

She said, “Elon and I had a beautiful relationship, and we have a beautiful friendship now, one that was based on our core values. Intellectual curiosity, ideas and conversation, a shared love for science. We just bonded on a lot of things that speak to who I am on the inside. I have so much respect for him.”
