Ansu Fati, a promising young player from Barcelona, has chosen to reject Tottenham in favor of a move to Brighton, according to famous Italian transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano.

The 20-year-old will sign a loan with the south coast team. He reportedly made his choice after speaking with Brighton manager Roberto De Zerbi, who was instrumental in getting Fati to agree to the transfer.

Due to rumors of a disagreement with Barcelona’s head coach, Xavi, Fati’s exit from Barcelona had been expected. He had drawn interest from a number of Premier League teams, including Tottenham, Chelsea, Arsenal, and Liverpool. Although Brighton appeared to have secured the services of the Spanish forward, Spurs were thought to be the front-runners to sign him on a loan deal.
