Dallas Cowboys practice is off to a rough start after the team’s cornerback Trevon Diggs was heard giving quarterback Dak Prescott a earful after the latter attempted to escape the pass rush and run for a touchdown.

The situation turned tense on Tuesday afternoon after Prescott eluded a defender. He ended up coming face to face in the end zone with Diggs, who started yelling at him. “Shut yo b—h a– up,” Diggs said while Prescott took a defensive stance. Diggs was not the only one to rain down on Prescott’s parade. The team’s safety Malik Hooker also had a heated exchange of words with his quarterback. However, the context behind that exchange is unclear.

Prescott will be under scanner after he promised last month to “lessen my interception numbers.” NFL Twitter is already casting doubt on his promise. His record during practice has not improved much as he threw an interception to Hooker on a pass downfield intended for Brandin Cooks during Monday’s practice.

He struggled greatly last season so fans are expecting him to pick up the pace this season. Last season he missed five games with a broken thumb. Despite that, Prescott’s stats showed 15 interceptions in 12 games, tying for the league lead with Derek Carr.

However, it is too early to say if there is a feud brewing between Prescott and one of his team members are tempers are not uncommon at the training camp. There also remains considerable pressure on Dallas this upcoming season after they suffered a season-ending loss to the 49ers in the NFC Divisional Round during the 2023 playoffs.

Dallas was also knocked out by San Francisco in the wild-card round the previous season.
