The decision comes after he was detained on Friday on suspicion of driving under the influence (DUI). Huggins’ resignation from his position as a coach was caused by the intense media attention and scrutiny the arrest has brought him.

According to the City of Pittsburgh’s Public Safety Blotter, police officers noticed a black SUV obstructing traffic in the middle of the road. The driver’s side door was open, and it appeared that the vehicle had a flat and shredded tire.

In an attempt to assist Huggins with his flat tire, the officers requested that he move the car off the road. However, Huggins encountered difficulties while trying to do so, which resulted in hindering the passage of other vehicles.

Police officers apparently grew skeptical about Bob Huggins’ condition after observing the problems he had driving his car. They turned on the lights of their cars and started questioning him. The police concluded that Huggins had signs of intoxication based on their conversation and the ensuing standard field sobriety tests.

The police arrested Huggins without any alleged incidents after he failed the field sobriety tests.

After being detained, Bob Huggins was accused of DUI. He was then released from custody after the required legal procedures. He was given a summons to show up for a preliminary hearing at a later time as part of his discharge.

We are gathering more information and will take appropriate action once the review is complete.”
