Sergio Ramos could make his much-awaited Paris Saint Germain debut on Wednesday when his side takes on Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City in their Champions League group match. The 35-year-old Spaniard joined the French giants in July but did not make his first appearance due to a recurring problem with a calf muscle.

PSG, finally, could lineup with all their prime summer signings Lionel Messi and Sergio Ramos, if the latter makes into the playing 11. However, it is likely that the defender starts on the bench with Marquinhos and Presnel Kimpembe leading the central defence.

Ramos has not played for the French side since joining from his long-time club Real Madrid in July. 

As per French daily L’Equipe, The former Real Madrid star has been given the all-clear for competitive action. He suffered a string of injuries since arriving at the Parc de Princes from the Bernabéu on a free transfer during the summer.

He was not included in the squad for PSG’s game against Nantes last weekend as the franchise’s  medical staff advised Pochettino to hold off naming him. Ramos trained with the squad, his third of full trainings.

Manchester City currently sit on top of their Champions League group points table with nine points, one clear of PSG.

Ahead of the game against City, Pochettino started with the trio of attacking stars, Mbappe, Messi and Neymar when Nantes visited Paris.

Former Barcelona Talisman Lionel Messi scored his first goal in the French league and Kylian Mbappe grabbed the fastest goal of his career as Paris Saint-Germain beat Nantes 3-1. 

Messi sealed PSG’s win in the 87th minute from Mbappe’s pass at the end of a counterattack. After receiving the ball, the Argentina star quickly advanced near the edge of the box, dribbled past a defender and curled one of his signature left-footed shots past Nantes goalkeeper Alban Lafont.
