Drake is set to make $2.75 million if Lionel Messi’s
Argentina defeats France to win the World Cup title in Doha on Sunday. The
music star has placed a $1 million bet on Messi and co for winning the
World Cup. If Argentina does manage to beat the defending champions France, he
will earn a massive profit.

Ahead of today’s World Cup final, Drake shared proof of him
betting $1 million on Argentina to win the game and the tournament, with
potential winnings of $2.75 million.

This is not the first time that Drake has bet big on football. In October, he put a $600,000 wager on Barcelona winning El Clasico and Arsenal beating Leeds United in the Premier League. Arsenal defeated Leeds United 1-0 at Elland Road, thanks to a goal from Bukayo Saka in the first half. For Barcelona against Real Madrid, Carlo Ancelotti’s side won 3-1 at the Bernabeu to go top of La Liga. Barcelona wore a special kit dedicated to the rapper featuring his OVO owl as part of their sponsorship with Spotify.

The Canadian betting on the World Cup final can be a matter
of worry for Argentina due to the infamous ‘Drake Curse’. The curse in question
relates to the rapper earning a long-reputation for being a bad luck charm
after posing with the sporting stars or their team’s shirt. In recent years,
Manchester City exited the Champions League after he posed with their player
Sergio Aguero.

AS Roma even banned their players from taking photos with
him to prevent devastating losses. There are some instances of players or teams
defying the curse and emerging victorious, but examples are few.

Argentina will be hoping they can kick against the trend as
they go in search of their third World Cup title.

On the other hand, the rapper has postponed his upcoming
