Leicester City on Saturday scripted an iconic Football Association Challenge Cup (more commonly known as the FA Cup) victory by beating Chelsea 1-0, thanks to a wonder goal from Belgian midfielder Youri Tielemans.
The largest crowd for a sports event in England since the coronavirus pandemic hit 14 months ago were treated to a goal worthy to win any trophy as the Tielemans blasted into the top corner on 63 minutes.

Kasper Schmeichel produced a stunning save to deny Mason Mount late on and Chelsea also had a late goal from Leicester man Ben Chilwell ruled out by a VAR review for offside.
The Duke of Cambridge handed over the trophy to Leicester skipper Schmeichel and soon tweeted out a congratulatory message for the Brendan Rodgers managed club.
Meanwhile, following their landmark victory, Leicester players too joined the Twitter brigade to celebrate their achievement. Talismanic forward Jamie Vardy wrote: “FA Cup… completed it mate!”
While Schmeichel said, “Dreamt of this moment as a boy. Dreams come true.” Leicester’s midfield maestro James Maddison too reiterated a similar thought.
Five years after the Foxes stunned the footballing world to become Premier League champions, they have now claimed English football’s other prestigious trophy at the fifth time of asking.
A barrage of fan posts also followed on Twitter, amid which a Leicester fan wrote: “Am done….. final piece of the jigsaw that is my life…. Thank you so much to my club ( not top 6) there is no price on what happened today. Money could never buy this feeling.”

Amid the chaos of celebration, Leicester duo Hamza Choudhury and Wesley Fofana had a strong message to share. They went around the stadium with the Palestine flag and showed solidarity for the country which is currently part of the conflict with Israel.
Claudia Webbe, Member of Parliament for Leicester East, was quick to notice the gesture and tweeted about the same.
