Dre Greenlaw, linebacker for the San Francisco 49ers, was spotted punching Philadelphia Eagles players and the football during the NFC title game on Sunday. The two sides locked horns at the Lincoln Financial Field.

The Eagles beat the 49ers 31-7 and will advance to the Super Bowl. Jalen Hurts and co will play the winner of the AFC title game between Cincinnati Bengals and Kansas City Chiefs.

San Francisco struggled throughout the NFC title game against the Eagles. They lost quarterback Brock Purdy in the first half to an elbow injury. Josh Johnson, his backup, suffered a concussion in the third quarter and star wide receiver Christian McCaffrey had to take on as QB briefly.

Purdy did come back but struggled.

With minutes to go in the fourth quarter, Niners LB Dre Greenlaw got flagged for trying to punch the football out of running back Kenneth Gainwell’s hands.

Several social media users demanded a suspension for Greenlaw.

“Dre Greenlaw u sir are a monkey,” a Twitter user said.

“Dre Greenlaw got penalized for unnecessary roughness for repeatedly Peanut Punching the ball and failing so it looked like he was just beating the shit outta the Eagles RB😭😭” another one added.

“@DreGreenlaw you’re a great D player and that call was crap. But if you ever decide to join the UFC I will back you with that accuracy. 3/3 on that ball!” a third one tweeted.
