It has now been confirmed that after pulling a shocker of a win against football giant, Argentina on Day 3 of FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar, all Saudi Arabia players will be rewarded with a Rolls Royce each, courtesy of Saudi Arabian Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud.

Each of them will be receiving an RM6 million Rolls Royce Phantom.

The Green Falcons were the underdogs in the game against Argentina. However, brilliant individual goals from Saleh Al-Shehri and Salem Al-Dawsari ensured that they came out at the top.

After the win, King Salman also declared a public holiday in the country to mark the national team’s stunning victory.

Original Story

After Saudi Arabia scripted a shocking win against Argentina 2-1 in their Group C encounter on November 22, thanks to the brilliant individual goals from Saleh Al-Shehri and Salem Al-Dawsari, on Day 3 of FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar, fans immediately took to Twitter to ask the all-important question – whether the goal scorers against Argentina will be rewarded with Rolls Royce when they go back to their homeland.

Al-Shehri squeezed in a low shot in the 48th minute while Al-Dawsari scored a scorching strike from the edge of the penalty area in the 53rd minute. This led one of the tournament favorites to fall short of the mark. Argentina’s 36-match unbeaten winning streak came to a crushing end.

Saudi Arabia is famously known to gift to their World Cup goal-scorers. In their World Cup debut in 1994, although they were underdogs, they scored a goal against Belgium. Striker Saeed Al-Owairan scored the goal with a 70-yard run toward the net. Al-Owairan was to get a Rolls-Royce once he returned home.

Social media reports suggested that Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia Mohammad Bin Salman has announced a Rolls Royce Phantom to each team member after having defeated Argentina.

Argentina started the match as heavy favorites and an informed team, having won last year’s Copa America. Argentina was also the better side, having a big lead(68-32) in terms of ball share and also having more attempts at the goal than Saudi Arabia.

However, it was indeed a dismal performance by the favorites. While the Argentines were unfortunate for three of their goals to be declared offsides, their forwards Di Maria and Martinez also delivered a disappointing performance by not scoring another goal.
