Floyd Mayweather and Logan Paul battled it out in an eight-round exhibition match at the Hard Rock Stadium, Florida on Monday. The match that did not see any knockout, ended without a winner. The exhibition bout was witnessed by around 25,000 people in attendance.

The match was one of the most-awaited exhibitions of the year. While YouTube fame Logan Paul walked up to the ring, with a song from “The Greatest Showman” playing in the background, Mayweather walked in to a live performance by rapper Moneybagg Yo.

Since boxing is strictly dividing by weight categories, the massive size difference between the two contenders has been one of the main talks of the show.

While Paul stood at 6-foot-2, Mayweather stood at 5-foot-8. The height difference may remind you of the old K-1 kickboxing matches from Japan involving 7-foot-2 Choi Hong-man.

The first round ended with waves of punches by Paul but they were mostly harmless. It seemed that the two fighters, in the first round, were only analysing each other.

Throughout the bout, Mayweather remained close to Paul, thus negating his huge size advantage.

In the third round, both fighters landed heavy punches on each other. But the way Paul took the hits, shows his resillience and tough will. Paul looked exhausted but Mayweather stayed alive.

Even though Paul was exhausted, he maneuvered around Mayweather and did not allow his punches to land on him. Because from what it looked, some of Mayweather’s punches could have very well been knockout shots.

Paul proved his mettle and took the match into the eighth round. Mayweather tried going in for the kill but failed as the bout ended without a knockout and left the fans in Miami Gardens wanting more.
