The free-agent market for running back Kareem Hunt is heating up as he visits the Minnesota Vikings on Friday, per NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.
Having previously met with the Saints and Colts, the 26-year-old Hunt is exploring his options. While the Vikings possess capable options like Ty Chandler and Alexander Mattison, Hunt’s visit could offer additional depth, especially with Kene Nwangwu dealing with an undisclosed injury.
Hunt recently turned down offers from the Colts and Saints, indicating a competitive market for his services. His offseason has seen increased interest after a relatively quiet period.

A former third-round pick by the Chiefs in 2017, Hunt’s career has been marked by ups and downs. His time in Kansas City ended after a video showed him kicking a woman. The Browns signed him to a one-year contract worth over $1 million, which included an eight-game suspension.
After re-signing with the Browns as a restricted free agent in 2020, Hunt’s performance remained solid. In 2022, he played all 17 games, amassing 468 rushing yards and four touchdowns along with 210 receiving yards.
