Bournemouth have fired head coach Gary O’Neil despite the fact that he kept the team in the Premier League last season. O’Neil was named temporary head coach after Scott Parker was fired in August and was awarded an 18-month contract in November.

During his tenure as manager, he amassed 36 points and led the team to a 15th-place finish in the Premier League. Many thought he should have been a contender for Manager of the Year.
