Indian all-rounder Krunal Pandya, who is Baroda’s skipper in the ongoing Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, has left the bio-bubble due to the demise of his father, ANI reported. According to media reports, Krunal’s father, Himanshu, died on Saturday due to cardiac arrest.
“Yes, Krunal Pandya has left the bio bubble. It is a personal tragedy, Baroda Cricket Association mourns this loss of Hardik and Krunal,” association’s CEO Shishir Hattangadi told ANI.
He will not play for Baroda in the remaining matches of the ongoing domestic T20 championship.
Krunal had played three matches in the ongoing series. He has taken four wickets and in the first match against Uttarakhand, he scored 76.
Baroda has won all the three matches it has played in the Syed Mushtaq Ali trophy and is at the top of Elite Group C.

Krunal’s brother, Hardik, is playing in neither the domestic series nor in India’s Test against Australia. He, however, began training for the upcoming white-ball series against England.
