England and Tottenham Hotspur captain Harry Kane tossed the coin for the Minnesota Vikings vs New Orleans Saints NFL game in London. The Northumberland Development Project or the new Tottenham Hotspur Stadium has been home to the 29-year-old striker for most part of the last decade.

The Premier League star attended the game on Sunday. Minutes ahead of the game, Kane was announced on coin-toss duty. Fans in the stadium did not like the idea. They started booing in chorus.

In a pre-match interview, Harry Kane said that the New England Patriots are still his favourite NFL team. The football player, in 2019, had said that he is a Tom Brady fan. However, the GOAT, a part of the Patriots then, switched base to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Kane added that he still has one eye on Brady and is good friends with hiim. The England captain said that it ‘feels crazy’ to see a football pitch transformed into an NFL field. 

Vikings running back Alexander Mattison scored the first touchdown of the game. In the first quarter, he received a quick pass from the team’s QB Kirk Cousins as the play was 3rd and goal. Mattinson then rushed to the endzone.

Harry Kane was booed in the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium because of England’s poor performance in the Nations League. The Three Lions failed to win in their last six matches. 

Manager Gareth Southgate’s men played 550 minutes of football without a goal in open play. They were relegated from the competition after slumping to a 1-0 defeat away to Italy.
