Argentinian as well
as world football legend, Diego Armando Maradona, passed away on Wednesday in
Buenos Aires, Argentina aged 60.

According to a

word before passing away were “I feel sick.”

The Argentinian

According to Daily
Mail, Maradona came down for breakfast on Wednesday morning in a pale state,
complaining that he felt cold.

“Me siento mal,” (I
feel sick) he reportedly said to his nephew before returning to bed.

Discovering
Maradona shortly before noon, a nurse called for help but even before the
arrival of paramedics, the football legend passed away.

Following his
death, three days of national mourning have been declared by the President of
Argentina Alberto Fernandez.

‘You took us to the
top of the world. You made us immensely happy. You were the greatest of all,’
the leader tweeted.

Maradona won the
world cup with Argentina in 1986. It was in this tournament that the fabled
‘Hand of God’ goal was scored by the Argentinian, as well as another one that
was later voted ‘Goal of the Century’.

The life of the
boisterous footballing legend was equally fabled outside the stadium, as
regular allegations of drug abuse and physical altercations were quite common
with him.

Both Buenos Aires
and Naples in Italy saw thousands of mourners remembering Maradona as the
Champions League matches across European stadiums on Wednesday night fell silent.

Maradona is
survived by his five children, including his two daughters Dalma (33) and
Ganina (31) by only wife Claudia Villafane (58).

The autopsy
indicated that the footballing legend died from a massive heart attack.
