After creating history at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, the Indian contingent arrived at New Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport on Monday amid huge cheers from the fans, who had gathered to catch a glimpse of the athletes. Indians clinched 7 medals at the Tokyo Olympics, which is the country’s highest ever, beating the tally of six medals won at the London Games in 2012. Javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra won the gold while weightlifter Mirabai Chanu and wrestler Ravi Kumar Dahiya secured silver. India also won four bronze (PV Sindhu, Lovlina Borgohain, men’s hockey, Bajrang Punia).
