James Anderson
The English pacer got his 400th Test wicket in 94 Tests in England. He is the second bowler to reach the 400-wicket mark in home Tests. The first is Sri Lanka cricket great Muttiah Muralitharan, who has 493 wickets in 73 Tests in Sri Lanka.
As for the match, pacer Robinson orchestrated a middle-order collapse with the second new ball. India started the fourth day with 215/2 and were soon done in by Robinson (5/26). Other than him, Anderson and Overton hit the right lengths and got movement off-the-pitch to wrap up the Indian innings.
The England cricket team won the encounter by executing their strategies to the T. It was Robinson’s second five-for in the series. He was also named the player of the match for his bowling performance.
The fourth Test between England and India will be played from September 2 at Kennington Oval, London.
