American rapper Nicki Minaj in July shared that she and her husband Kenneth Petty were expecting their first child. According to media reports, the baby was born on September 30. Her friends in Hollywood poured her with love and she shared photos of some of the notes she’s received from a few of her famous friends on her Instagram.
Sharing the notes, the rapper revealed the gender of her firstborn. She wrote, “Thank you to Queen B, Kim & Ye, Riccardo Tisci, Winnie, Karol & everyone who sent well wishes during this time,” the caption on the photos read. “It meant the world to me. I am so grateful & in love with my son. Madly in love. My favorite liddo boy in the whole wide world.”
Minaj married Petty in 2019. She used Instagram to announce that she and Perry had tied the knot with a video featuring some wedding paraphernalia.
Minaj released three mixtapes between 2007 and 2009 and signed a recording contract with Young Money Entertainment in 2009.
In 2011, Minaj won two American Music Awards–one for Favorite Rap/Hip-Hop Artist and the other for Favorite Rap/Hip-Hop Album, for her debut album Pink Friday.
