Ford had an impact with 11 carries for 74 yards and a touchdown before leaving. He also caught two of his four targets at a distance of twenty yards. In Week 7, the Browns will probably use Pierre Strong and Kareem Hunt to handle the carries now that Ford is gone.

During the fourth quarter of the team’s Week 7 game on Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts, Ford appeared to have injured his ankle. It seemed as though Ford twisted his ankle after being tackled for a loss. He hobbled off the field and was later seen going into the sideline medical tent.

It appears doubtful that he will play through the remainder of Week 7, but hopefully, the injury won’t cause a protracted layoff. In the fourth quarter, Pierre Strong Jr. has been the Browns’ primary back because Kareem Hunt is also out with a thigh injury.

With a long touchdown early in the game, Ford made a big impression, but after that, he was mostly limited. By the end of the day, he would have 11 carries for 74 yards and a touchdown, plus another 20 yards from 2 catches.

American football running back Jerome Ford plays for the National Football League’s Cleveland Browns (NFL).

Ford became a successful running back at Cincinnati, helping the Bearcats to a 2021 season without a loss. With 1,242 running yards, 19 rushing touchdowns, and 20 touchdowns overall at the end of the season, he was quite the player.

The Cleveland Browns selected Ford in the fifth round of the 2022 NFL Draft. Regretfully, on October 4, 2022, he was placed on injured reserve due to an ankle injury that occurred in Week 4. On November 12, 2022, he did, however, return from injured reserve.
