Julius Randle, New York Knicks All-Star, re-injured his left ankle in Game 5 against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday. The two sides locked horns in Game 5 at the Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse.

Coming into the game, the Knicks led 3-1.

As the Knicks were wrapping up the game, their All-Star forward Julius Randle re-injured his left ankle. The 28-year-old was came to postseason with a similar injury.

With five games remaining in the regular season, Randle had appeared in all 77 teams for his team. However, he injured his left ankle and sat out.

On Wednesday, Randle landed awkwardly with roughly a minute left in the half. He was contesting a shot from Caris Levert. The New York player then grabbed his ankle and medics were called immediately.

The Knicks announced at halftime that Randle is doubtful to return to Game 5.

Julius Randle was down for a bit. He was taken to the sideline and then the 28-year-old headed back to the locker room to receive treatment. He had 13 points, six assists and four rebounds in 16 minutes of action.

The All-Star forward missed five games after injuring his ankle on March 29. However, he was available for Game 1 against Cleveland. Randle has averaged 14.8 points, 7.0 rebounds and 2.3 assists through the first four games of the series.

“I am so fucking proud of this Knicks team. Randle should be alright for the 2nd round. Mitchell Robinson has been immaculate for us against two of the so-called dominant bigs. Josh Hart is a legit Swiss Army knife. Jalen Brunson is a superstar. We MOVE,” a Twitter user celebrated Knicks’ win.

“Exceptionally happy that the Knicks are going to the second round. My childhood team. The team that has caused me the most heartache. After all the bullshit, a trip to the second round feels like a Finals berth. Gonna savor this. Just get Randle healthy,” another one added.
