Kyle Larson won Stage 2 of the race at Pocono Raceway during the racing competition. The race had a caution flag flying at the time of the stage’s finish, hence the victory actually happened under caution.

Winning the stage is important in the race since it gives drivers and teams significant championship points and frequently results in tactical advantages as they advance through the competition.

Several people on Twitter reacted to the victory. One user tweeted, “Kyle Larson’s team apparently asked Ty Dillon if he could give them a push. Dillon’s team declined, as they’ve got enough problems trying to save gas themselves. P2 in Stage 2. Great job boys. Nice to have one roll our way there.”

“From spinning in 1 to winning Stage 2….Kyle Larson gets the Stage win” another user tweeted.

On lap 92 of the competition, the yellow flag was raised after Christopher Bell lost control at the end of Turn 1. Bell’s car, fortunately, did not suffer any damage, but the event affected the race rankings.

There were only four laps left in Stage 2 when the spin happened. Kyle Larson was heading toward pit road at that same moment. Bell spun, but Larson quickly corrected his track and re-entered the race, maintaining his lead over Ty Dillon, who hadn’t yet pitted.

Larson had to change to maximum fuel economy mode to save fuel while the race went on under caution. The No. 5 team’s plan was to have enough fuel on hand to win the stage under caution before choosing to make a pit stop to refuel and swap out the tires. Through excellent fuel management throughout the cautions, this tactical move attempted to offer Larson the greatest competitive edge possible.
