According to recent reports, Austin Reaves has re-signed with the Los Angeles Lakers on a hefty four-year deal worth $56 million.

Rob Pelinka, the Lakers’ vice president of basketball operations and general manager, is regarded as having accomplished a great deal with this signing. Pelinka has had a remarkable first day of free agency.

Reaves’s new deal has a player option for the fourth season, giving him the freedom to look into unrestricted free agency before the 2026–27 season, it has also been made public. Notably, his deal also has the maximum advance permitted and a trade kicker of 15%.

Reaves will remain a crucial member of the Lakers for the foreseeable future, as seen by this big contract extension. Reaves demonstrated his value by being a critical part of the Lakers’ rotation the season before he was undrafted in 2021.
