In connection with a capital murder charge coming from the death of Jamea Harris on January 15, former Alabama basketball player Darius Miles made an appearance in a Tuscaloosa court on Tuesday for a court session.

As revelations from the trial began to surface, Nate Oats was questioned during his regular press conference about Miller’s alleged participation in the crime. “We knew about that,” Oats said. “Can’t control everything anybody does outside of practice. Nobody knew that was going to happen. College kids are out, Brandon hasn’t been in any type of trouble nor is he in any type of trouble in this case. Wrong spot at the wrong time.”

However, the Alabama men’s basketball coach, apologized after the media widely criticized his response on Tuesday night.
