Atlanta Hawks point guard, Trae Young, will miss the fifth game of the NBA Eastern Conference finals best-of-seven series against Milwaukee Bucks due to an ankle injury.

Young also missed the previous game due to the same injury and

MRI reports revealed he had sustained a bone bruise in his right ankle.

Although tried to make himself available for both the games, his lack of mobility and a significant degree of pain made it impossible.

The 22-year-old suffered the injury late in the third quarter of Game 3 between the two teams.

Even after an injury, Young returned in the fourth quarter and was affected by injury. Talking about his injury after the game, he said that the injury limited his “blow-by speed” and that it was a big part of his game.

Currently, the series is tied at 2-2 after the Hawks fought back in the fourth game even without their talismanic shooter.

In place of Young, Lou Williams started at the point guard position. Williams top-scored with 21 points, five rebounds and eight assists.

In the postseason, Young has averaged 29.8 points and 9.5 assists. During Atlanta’s Game 1 win over the Bucks, Young scored 48 points and in Game 3, he scored 35 points.

Meanwhile, earlier, Bucks too confirmed that they will be without their talisman forward Giannis Antetokounmpo for the Friday night clash.

Antetokounmpo was put on the doubtful list a day before the announcement after sustaining an injury in the previous game against the Hawks on Tuesday.

The 26-year-old suffered a hyperextended left knee, rendering him unable to play further.

Two-time NBA Most Valuable Player Antetokounmpo underwent an MRI and physical examination on Wednesday.

Reports have said the scan found no evidence of structural damage in Antetokounmpo’s knee, which twisted as he landed awkwardly during a defensive play on Tuesday, reported AFP.
