Philadelphia 76ers forward Tobias Harris, after missing six games, cleared NBA’s COVID-19 health and safety protocols and returned to action when the side took on  the Toronto Raptors on Thursday at the Wells Fargo Center. With about 10 minutes to go in the fourth quarter, Harris had hit 12 points in 29 minutes of play.

Harris did not play since Philadelphia’s 122-94 win against the Atlanta Hawks on October 31. He came into the game against the Raptors averaging 19.8 points, 9.0 rebounds and 4.2 assists with a 60.5 % true shooting percentage.

With 8:14 minutes left in the game, the Toronto Raptors were leading the 76ers 92-87. The likes of Joel Embiid, Matisse Thybulle and Isaiah Joe remained out due to health and safety protocols. The team’s star guard Seth Curry was sidelined by a left foot contusion he suffered during the loss against the Milwaukee Bucks 118-109 on Tuesday. However, he made it to the starting five against Toronto on Thursday.

ESPN, citing sources, reported earlier Monday that Embiid tested positive for COVID-19. Neither the 76ers nor coach Doc Rivers would confirm a positive test for the four-time All-Star. Rivers said before Monday’s game that Embiid was “struggling.”

“It’s not going great. He’s struggling with it. Similar to Tobias (Harris),” Rivers said. “It’s clearly is a concern.”
