Tokyo Olympics gold medalist Neeraj Chopra is all set to compete in his maiden Diamond League finals event to be held in Zurich on Thursday and Friday. He qualified for the finals after a massive 89.08m throw at the qualifiers meet held in Lausanne on August 26, becoming the first Indian in history to do so.

The 24-year-old javelin thrower was out with an injury and could not take part in the Commonwealth Games 2022 held in Birmingham. The Diamond League qualifier was his first event after recovering from the injury.
