Wide receiver Chris Olave scored his first career touchdown against the Minnesota Vikings as the Saints tie the game, 7-7. This is the first NFL game in London of the 2022 season. The match is played at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Quarterback Andy Dalton passed for Olave at the third and goal play for four yards as he scored his maiden td. The scoring play took a total of six minutes in the second quarter. During the play, the Saints covered 60 yards in 12 plays.

Los Angeles Lakers’ Lebron James seemed happy for the player and tweeted after Olave scored. 

“OLAVE!! O-H… TD!”, his tweet read.

The Saints are third in the NFC South just ahead of the Atlanta Falcons. The Falcons have won just one game so far in the current campaign. Ahead of the team from New Orleans are the Carolina Panthers and Tom Brady-led Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Bucs lead the group with two wins and a loss and are the only teams with these many wins after three games in the division.

Olave took a juggling catch as he was getting pushed down on the ground by the Vikings’ defender Camryn Bynum.

The wide receiver was born on June 27, 2000 in San Diego California and attended the Ohio State University to play for their Buckeyes football team. He stayed there from 2018 to 2021. At Ohio State, he had 36 receiving touchdowns in 176 receptions for 2711 yards. 

Olave was drafted by the New Orleans Saints in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft as the 11th pick and subsequently signed a four-year contract worth $19,271,872 with a fifth-year option. His contract includes a $11,195,908 signing bonus. His starting salary in 2022 is $705,000, rising to $807,000 in 2023.
