Justin Jefferson, wide receiver for the Minnesota Vikings, apparently escaped a pass interference call during the wild-card game against the New York Giants at the US Bank Stadium on Sunday.
“Kinda hard when Jefferson is hanging on you, can’t believe that wasn’t offensive PI and I don’t even like Giants,” a Twitter user said.
“Not the commentator acting like Jefferson did commit a obvious PI 😂😂😂 #NYGvsMIN,” another one added.
“Hmm wonder why refs didn’t call PI on Justin jefferson there hmm,” a third one tweeted.
The Minnesota Vikings selected Jefferson with the 22nd overall choice in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft. Prior to now, the Vikings acquired the 22nd pick in a historic trade that sent wide receiver Stefon Diggs to the Buffalo Bills.

With a $7.1 million signing bonus, Jefferson agreed to a four-year, $13.12 million contract with the franchise. On July 27, 2020, the team put Jefferson on the reserve/COVID-19 list. A week later, he was cleared and activated.
In the regular season of 2022, Jefferson finished first in the league with 128 receptions for 1,809 yards and 8 touchdowns.
Jefferson caught 10 catches for a career-high 193 yards and a score against the Buffalo Bills in Week 10, helping the Vikings defeat them 33-30 in overtime. With two minutes left in the fourth quarter, Jefferson made one of his catches on a 4th down and 18 situations for 32 yards, wrestling the ball away from Bills CB Cam Lewis as he fell to the ground.
The catch was hailed as one of the best of all time, and the Pro Football Hall of Fame displayed the player’s arm sleeves and gloves from the contest.
