Paulo Dybala, the Argentine who was hailed as Lionel Messi’s successor, has had a good stint at Juventus, but his time with the Serie A side might be drawing to an end. This has raised some questions about Dybala’s future and where he will be headed next.

Speaking to ESPN, the 28-year-old forward said, “I am quite calm, the people who work with are taking care. In Italy I am very comfortable. I would still like to know other leagues like Premier, Liga… but I’m happy in Italy”.

Juventus and Dybala were unable to reach an agreement after repeated attempts, and for now, Inter Milan is working on getting the forward as a free agent, Fabrizio Romano of Sky Sports reported.

However, there are many other hats in the ring, especially from the Premier League side. Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea, and Arsenal are all believed to be strong contenders, and there has been some buzz about Manchester United being interested as well.

Dybala has made it clear to Sky Sports that he’ll “pick the best club” for himself. United seems to be out of contention in this regard, since the Old Trafford side only managed a sixth-place finish in the Premier League, removing their chances of playing in the Champions League – something a footballer of Dybala’s stature would like to be a part of. Tottenham, who’ve earned a CL spot, could be a good pick, especially since the North London club was linked to the Argentine back in 2018.

Rivals Arsenal are also in the running with Alexandre Lacazette set to depart, after a struggle to play on Mikel Arteta’s side.

Chelsea also appear to be strong contenders, with the recent sale to the Todd Boehly-led consortium opening up the club accounts again. They are looking to be nimble in the transfer market, and Dybala could be a great replacement for Belgian forward Romelu Lukaku, who’s had his differences with coach Thomas Tuchel
