match will be played by the host nation, Qatar, against Ecuador. But before the
first match is underway, football fans across the world will be waiting for the
FIFA World Cup opening ceremony. Opening ceremonies of the World Cup are grand
events and global icons often make it to the inaugurals and this year will be

FIFA has
not officially released the list of performers at the Qatar World Cup opening
ceremony yet. However, media reports indicate that Jungkook, one of the members
of the extremely popular South Korean boy band BTS will perform the song,
Dreamers.

Black Eyed
Peas, the American rap band, is expected to perform at the event as is Robbie
Williams, the English singer and songwriter.

Hindi film
actor Nora Fatehi also featured in the list of potential performers.

Earlier,
rumours went around that British singer Dua Lipa would perform at the World Cup
opening ceremony. However, she denied the rumours.

Singer Rod
Stewart reportedly denied a gig in Qatar that would have paid him $1 million.

The FIFA
World Cup opening ceremony will be broadcast on Sports 18 and Sports 18 HD. It
can be streamed on the Jio Cinema app. Some reports suggest the ceremony may
also be telecast on Voot.
