Swiss tennis player Roger Federer is no longer a
part of the top 10 in ATP rankings after nearly five years. The last time the 40-year-old failed
to break into the top 10 was January 2017. The ATP charts were updated on
Monday after the Indian Wells Masters 1000 final with Federer slipping down from 9th to the 11th spot.

The tennis great has been unable to feature in games due to suffering
from a knee injury. The last game he played was against Hubert Hurkacz in the
Wimbledon quarter-finals that took place in July.
He was forced to pull out of the Tokyo Olympics as well as
the US Open to undergo a surgery on his right knee. His last Grand Slam title came
a while back when he lifted the Australian Open in 2018 after beating Marin
Cilic in the final.
Presently, he is focused on recovering fully before re-joining
the tennis circuit.

The 20-time Grand Slam champion went on to win the
Australian Open after sustaining a knee injury the last time he was ranked
outside the top 10.
Cameron Norrie who was recently crowned the India Wells champion
jumped 11 spots.
Rafael Nadal has moved to the 5th spot after
skipping the US Open while Novak Djokovic continues to be the top gun in spite
of losing the US Open final when he had an opportunity to complete a Calendar
Slam.

Daniil Medvedev enjoys the 2nd spot while
Stefanos Tsitsipas and Alexander Zverev round up the top five.
