Archer Pravin Jadhav kept the Indian men’s challenge going at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics on Wednesday. In the men’s 1/32 Eliminations, he recorded a comfortable win over his opponent Galsan Bazarzhapov of the Russian Olympic Committee.
In set 1, the Indian archer started with a perfect 10 and continued his hot streak throughout the tie, not allowing his opponent to catch up with him.
After starting with a 10, he followed it up with a 9 and another 10 to get a total accumulated score of 29 as compared to his opponent who recorded a total accumulated score of 27.
In Set 2, Pravin eked out a 28-27 victory by shooting one 10 and two 9s. The Russian, started strong and hit two 10s but failed to counter the strong gust of wind as he could manage only a 7 on his last shoot.
In Set 3, the Indian registered a score of 28, while the Russian managed only 24 as he hit 8, 7 and 9.
