Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Jake Browning had a poor outing against a rookie Green Bay Packers defense in the preseason game on Friday. The 27-year-old threw for 95 yards and a pick in the first half as the Green Bay Packers led 21-16 at the Paul Brown Stadium.
Cincinnati’s starting QB Joe Burrow injured his calf during a practice session on July 27. There is no clarity on his return. The Bengals started with Browning against the Packers but fans are not impressed. Several of them took to Twitter to slam the QB for his poor performance in the game.
“Jake Browning to be wanting QB #2 that was average bro… No disrespect but that was pure average playing vs a 2nd string rookie Packer defense,” one person tweeted.
“Jake Browning’s accuracy today has been questionable. His confidence and aggressiveness specifically with passes to Andrei Iosivas show his confidence in the rookie,” Charlie Goldsmith of the Enquirer tweeted.
