Ryan Zebley had accused Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams of assault during a game at Kansas City on October 10 last year. The charge has been dropped.

The Kansas City Star, citing a spokesperson for the Kansas City municipal court, reported that the prosecutor had dismissed the misdemeanor charge on June 5 and that the case was closed.

Adams had allegedly shoved Zebly, who was working for ESPN’s ‘Monday Night Football’ team as a freelance photographer. The incident took place after Las Vegas Raiders’ MNF game vs Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium.

The Raiders had lost 29-30.

Ryan Zebly, as per records, suffered whiplash and had a headache from what is believed to be a concussion. He sued Adams, the Las Vegas Raiders and the Chiefs. The civil case is still pending.

Davante Adams apologized after the game. He said that the shove “was just frustration mixed with [Zebley] literally just running in front of me.”

“Sorry to the guy I pushed over after the game. Obviously very frustrated at the way the game ended and when he ran infront of me as I exited that was my reaction and I felt horrible immediately. Thats not me..MY APOLOGIES man hope you see this,” the star WR said.

“The victim is a photographer at the Chiefs/Raiders game. At the end of the game, he was pushed to the ground causing injury. He made arrangements for private transport to the hospital for treatment at which time he called police. The injuries are preliminarily thought to be non-life threatening. The incident will be investigated by our Assault Unit detectives, upon completion they will coordinate with the applicable city or state prosecutor to determine any applicable charges,” ESPN reported police’s statement then.
