Brison Manor, former Denver Broncos DE, has died. He was 70 years old. The team honored the player on Wednesday.

Denver Broncos condoled the demise of Manor in a tweet. The tweet read, “We’re saddened by the passing of former Broncos DE Brison Manor, who played for us from 1977-1984. Our organization sends its sincere condolences to the Manor family.”

Who was Brison Manor?

American football player Brison Manor, who was born on August 10th, 1952, was most known for his position as a defensive end. From 1977 to 1984, he played with the Denver Broncos for eight seasons of the National Football League (NFL), having a distinguished career. Manor played football in college for the University of Arkansas before entering the professional world.

Manor began his professional career in 1977 with the Denver Broncos and had a significant impact right away. During the regular season and postseason, he participated in a total of 16 games. Manor’s work as a defensive end helped Denver’s legendary “Orange Crush” defense succeed, which was essential to the team’s trip to Super Bowl XII.

He displayed his defensive skills by recording four sacks throughout the regular season. He also recovered a fumble, which was key in Denver defeating the Raiders in the AFC Championship.

Manor’s most successful year while playing for the Broncos was in 1979. He started all 16 of the games during this outstanding season, and he significantly contributed with 6.5 sacks and a fumble recovery. The following year, Manor continued to perform well, starting 15 games, and adding two sacks and another recovered fumble to his already remarkable career stats.

Manor was honored in 2011 when he was elected to the University of Arkansas Hall of Honor, and in 2018 he was inducted into the esteemed Arkansas Sports Hall of Fame.
