Former Paris Saint-Germain and Toulouse goalkeeper Christophe Revault was found dead at his home on Thursday at the age of 49, according to reports from French media.

Revault, born in Paris on March 22, 1972, was a Le Havre academy graduate and played for the senior team till 1997 before joining the top-dog PSG and then Rennes a year later.

However, the French shot-stopper went on to spend a large chunk of his senior career at Toulouse, from 2000 to 2006, making 201 appearances for the club and winning a Ligue 2 title in the process.

Following his spell at the capital of the Occitanie region, Revault returned to Rennes for a season thereafter. He would return to Le Havre where he finished his playing career, winning the Ligue 2 title with the club in 2008. He also was crowned the Ligue 2 goalkeeper of the year.
