After 22 long years, Paul Wight aka Big Show is set to leave WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment) and sign a long-term contract with AEW (All Elite Wrestling).
Wight, 49, will not only wrestle but also serve as a commentator for AEW’s new show ‘Dark: Elevation’, which will be streamed on YouTube.
Elevation, which will air on Mondays at 7 pm ET, will showcase AEW’s established and rising talent, as well as top indie talents.

AEW CEO, General Manager and Head of Creative Tony Khan also commented on why Wight wanted to come to AEW.
“Paul Wight is one of the most recognizable and impressive professional athletes in the world,” said Tony Khan, CEO, GM and Head of Creative of AEW, WrestlingInc.com reported.
“He wanted to come to AEW because he believes that we’re the best promotion in wrestling, and we believe that he has a lot to offer us, both in the ring as a wrestler and also outside the ring as a commentator, host and ambassador for AEW.”
The last time Big Show featured in a WWE match was back on July 20, 2020 in a loss against Randy Orton. The veteran was ruled out for the entirety of 2019 with an injury and was only spotted in a handful of matches last year.
