Sara Lee, a former WWE star, died today at the age of 30. Terri Lee, her mother, announced her death in an online statement.

“We share the news that our Sarah Weston has gone to be with Jesus with heavy hearts. We are all in shock,” she wrote.

Lee competed in and won the WWE Tough Enough season in 2015. This resulted in her being offered a one-year contract with the promotion. 

Sara Lee won the 2015 season of Tough Enough, an elimination-style competition designed to find new talent for the company.

Despite competing in NXT a few times, she failed to impress top authorities with her in-ring abilities and was released from her contract in 2017.

Sara was a track and powerlifting star at her US high school before beginning her wrestling career, according to local media. 

She married former WWE wrestler Westin Blake in 2017, and they have three children. Bull James set up a Gofundme page to help the family during this trying time. Sara’s family is being supported by the entire wrestling community, including fans.

So far, the campaign has gained traction after several WWE Superstars shared it on social media. In fact, despite having a goal of only $20,000, the campaign raised more than $30,000.

Many current and former WWE stars expressed their condolences to Sara and her family on Twitter.

WWW’s official Twitter wrote – ” WWE is saddened to learn of the passing of Sara Lee. As a former “Tough Enough” winner, Lee served as an inspiration to many in the sports-entertainment world. WWE offers its heartfelt condolences to her family, friends and fans.”

Canadian professional wrestler Chelsea Anne Cardona tweeted- “No tweet or amount of words can bring back this beautiful human, but all of my heart goes out to. Westin Blake & their family. Sara Lee will be missed greatly.

Sara Lee was a resident of Orlando, Florida.
