Big businesses, supermarkets, and retailers closed their stores on Christmas 2022 as people took time off to reunite with their families to enjoy a cooked meal indoors or take a family vacation.
But it’s the day after Christmas, popularly known as Boxing Day, so people are wondering what retailers are open and which ones are closed. Let’s take a look at what is open on December 26.

Walmart
Walmart is open on December 26. After the Christmas holiday, the store reopens at regular hours. This means that it will be functional from 6 a.m. in the morning to 11 p.m. at night.

Banks and Post office
This year, Christmas fell on a Sunday. This means that the observance of the federal holiday was shifted to Monday, December 26. As a result, post offices will be closed on December 26. USPS staff always have off on Christmas.
However, the US Postal Service tends to avoid a situation where residents go two days without mail. As a result, while no mail will be delivered on Monday the 26th, deliveries were made on Christmas Eve. This was to ensure that there will be no unusual disruptions to the mail service.

Most banks follow the calendar of the US Federal Reserve, the nation’s central bank. Since the main bank will be closed on Monday, 26 December, the banks which follow their holiday list will also be shut.
However, customers may still be able to access ATMs. As for other financial services inside the bank, they may not be an option. Most of the banks will open their doors only on Tuesday when the central bank resumes its operations.
