Veteran actor Dilip Kumar has been hospitalized after he complained of breathlessness on June 29. The 98-year-old legendary actor is currently in the ICU at Mumbai’s Hinduja Hospital and his condition is stable.

“He was admitted yesterday during the day due to breathlessness. Given his age and recent hospitalisation, the family decided to take him to the hospital as a precautionary measure. He is fine. He is in the ICU so that the doctors can monitor him,” a source told PTI.

The senior actor was earlier hospitalized on June 6, after he complained of breathlessness. According to reports, he was diagnosed with bilateral pleural effusion. After getting his proper treatment done, the actor went back home on June 11.

“With the blessings and prayers of all of you, Dilip Sahab is going home from hospital. Your immense love and affection always touches the heart of Sahab,” a post on the official Twitter handle of Kumar read.

The tweet was shared by the cinema icon’s family friend, Faisal Farooqui.

The Hindi cinema veteran, whose career spans over five decades with hits like “Mughal-e-Azam”, “Devdas”, “Naya Daur”, and “Ram Aur Shyam”, was admitted to the same hospital last month for a regular health check-up.
