A total of 292 players will be up for grabs in the IPL 2021 auctions in Chennai, February 18. Out of 292 players, 164 are Indians, 125 overseas and three from Associate Nations. Two Indian players – Harbhajan Singh and Kedar Jadhav – have a reserve base of price of Rs 2 crore; this includes eight overseas players, as well.

While players are all set to go under the hammer, the youngest of the lot is Noor Ahmad of Afghanistan, with a base price of Rs 20 lakh. The 16-year-old left-arm wrist-spinner, to date, has played for Afghanistan Under-19s, Kabul Region, Karachi Kings, Melbourne Renegades.

Ahmad has played 20 T20s and has as many wickets under his belt. With an economy of 7.46, Ahmad has the best bowling figure of 3/12.

The other young players in the fray are Khrievitso Kense (Nepal, 16) and Mujtaba Yousuf (Jammu and Kashmir, 18).

In 10 T20s, Yousuf has taken eight wickets at an economy of 7.32.

As for Kense, he has played four T20s and taken seven wickets with his best being 3/16 and was also invited by Mumbai Indians for bowling trials for the 14th edition of the Indian Premier League. If selected, he will be used as a backup for spinner Rahul Chahar, a mainstay for MI.

Kense, who made his debut in the recently-concluded Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, took seven wickets at an economy rate of 5.47.
