KORN, a decades-old band that specialises in the metal genre, announced that they will be postponing their show at Scranton’s The Pavilion at Montage Mountain, which was scheduled for the night of August 14th, after someone in their camp tested positive for COVID-19, according to US media reports.

The statement released by the band emphasisied on the safety of their group, venue staff, fans and crew while announcing that the event had temporarily been called off.

The statement read, “Unfortunately, there has been a confirmed COVID-19 case within the Korn camp. The safety of our artists, crew, venue staff, and fans are our top priority, so we must postpone the show tonight”, according to reports from Metal Injection.

The statement further put forward an apology towards those who had booked their tickets for the show on Saturday night while also requesting fans to hold onto their tickets as the management will be rescheduling the event.

It read, “We’re deeply sorry for this unfortunate last minute news, but please hold on to your tickets while we work to get your rescheduled date sorted ASAP with Live Nation and The Pavilion at Montage Mountain. Thank you for your understanding, and stay safe out there. We’ll be back soon”, according to reports from Metal Injection.

However, no information was given about the possibility of the next performance being called off, which is scheduled for Tuesday.

The band still has 22 more shows to go before their ongoing tour gets concluded. While the last show is currently scheduled to be organised in Kentucky’s Louisville on September 23. The band was originally supposed to play in prominent cities such as Hartford, Syracuse,  Phoenix, Albuquerque, Houston among others.

The metal band, which was formed in California’s Bakersfield, was initiated in 1993, according to reports from Metal Injection.
