Cristiano Ronaldo, making his debut in Saudi Arabia, scored a first-half penalty against PSG in the Riyadh Season Cup at the King Fahd International Stadium on Thursday. Les Rouge-et-Bleu forward Neymar, on the other hand, missed a key penalty.

The two teams were 2-2 at half-time.

While PSG and Riyadh 11 presented an action-packed first-half, several fans alleged that the match was rigged.

“Lol we all know the match is rigged for Ronaldo 😂😂” a Twitter user said.

“That Psg vs Ronaldo match is 100% rigged to be a draw or at least for Ronaldo to score. The defender doesnt even jump for the 2nd Ronaldo goal. 🤣,” a second one added.

“Neymar’s penalty and cristianos second goal were weird this match is definitely rigged,” a third one tweeted.

Lionel Messi triumphed over Cristiano Ronaldo once again when the two legends went head-to-head. The European giants won 5-4, with Messi, Ronaldo, and Mbappe also on the scoresheet.

It all started in the third minute when scored the first of nine goals in a massively entertaining affair. Messi ran onto Neymar’s through ball to finish between the goalie and left back, after Neymar lobbed it over four defenders with the outside of his right foot.

In the 34th minute, Ronaldo scored with a penalty. PSG goalkeeper Keylor Navas came out of his line to punch the ball away, but he ended up connecting with a leaping Ronaldo that drew the spot. The ball was then drilled past Navas into the right-middle corner by Ronaldo.

Despite PSG left-back Juan Bernat’s red card in the 39th minute, center-back Marquinhos gave the French side the lead in the 43rd minute.

In the second half, Sergio Ramos scored for PSG and Hyeon Soo Jang for the Riyadh All-Stars. The match was decided when Mbappe hit another penalty in the end-to-end game. Substitute Hugo Ekitike scored a fifth for PSG as the clock ran down and the dominance of the French side shone through.

Both Ronaldo and Messi were taken off around the hour mark.
