The 30-share BSE Sensex recovered from the previous day’s losses climbing 1,736.21 points or 3.08% to close at 58,142.05. This was the biggest one-day jump since February 2021. Similarly, the NSE Nifty surged 509.65 points or 3.03% to end at 17,352.35.

All 19 BSE sectoral indices closed with significant gains with Auto, banking, tech, realty and IT indices climbing up to 3.87%. Broader BSE largecap, midcap and smallcap indices surged up to 2.94%.

Here are the key stocks that moved most during today’s session:

SpiceJet: The share closed 9.69% higher at Rs 64.50 after the company reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 42.5 crore in Q3 FY22 against a loss of Rs 66.7 crore on a YoY basis. The revenue jumped nearly 34% at Rs 2,263 crore against Rs 1,692 crore YoY.

Cipla: The pharma stock dipped 3.56% to close at Rs 920.90 after a huge block deal in which promoters reportedly sold around 2.05 crore shares or a 2.5% stake in the company at a floor price in the range of Rs 904.8-916.7%.

Mannapuram Finance: The share closed 15.15 points or 10.77% lower at Rs 127.75 after the company it has fixed February 25 as the record date for payment of interim dividend.

ACC: The share gained 3.83% to close at Rs 2,236.50 after the company announced to expand capacity at a grinding unit in Uttar Pradesh by 1.6 mtpa. ACC successfully commissioned a 1.6-mtpa grinding unit (GU) at Tikaria in Uttar Pradesh. The total capacity will reach 3.91 mtpa of cement after the addition of 1.6 mtpa to the existing capacity of 2.31 mtpa.

Eicher Motors: The company surged 5.45% to close at Rs 2,711.00 after the automaker announced a consolidated net profit of Rs 456 crore in the third quarter fiscal 2022. It declined 14% year on year from Rs 533 crore in Q3FY21. Sequentially, it surged 22% higher from Rs 373 crore in Q2FY22.
